American Idol judge Nicki Minaj was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE last night.

The YMCMB artists say down on the ABC Network to talk about the progress of her experience on the popular singing competition that has been suffering its worst rating in the show’s history.

She also spoke to Kimmel for the upteenth time about the played-up feud between herself and fellow Idol judge, Mariah Carey stemming from the controversial “country thing” statement that was said by an Idol contestant.

“The girl said, ‘listen I did the country thing, but I want to try something else.’ That’s pretty much what she was trying to say,” began Nicki. “She didn’t want us to tell her off the back what we think she should do. Keith got upset because he put “thing” in front of Country, and i told Keith I get it. But I felt like Randy and Mariah were like, almost forcing her to say ‘I’m sorry, you know what, I want to be a country singer.’ You know what, if you don’t want to be a country singer, I mean granted she wasn’t that savvy and said something that she shouldn’t have said, but she was telling the truth. The fact is she doesn’t want to be a country star, so why would we force that because you hear it that way?”
