Trinidad James keeps the momentum going from his debut mixtape, Don’t Be S.A.F.E., with this new video for “Southside.”

This Decatur Dan-directed video takes us back to the A-Town as the “All Gold Everything” rapper and Forte Bowie join the legendary Big Boi to take in a night of female boxing. If there is anything to note about the newest signee to Def Jam Records, it is that he knows exactly how to make a catchy record.

Although “Southside” may not strike the universal appeal of “All Gold Everything,” it shows that James knows what he’s doing as far as letting his charisma carry his lack of lyrical depth. Well timed ad-libs and hilarious one-liners about your girl and her penchant for his social media prowess is what carries this song over some slick production.

Standing outside of the famed J. Paul’s Bar and Grill and with a throng of Southside homies by his side, this fun-loving video full of ratchet and classy h**s is an enjoyable watch.

After the jump, take a look at the video for “Southside” off of his Don’t Be S.A.F.E. mixtape.
