Being an actor is tiring. Morgan Freeman was so sleepy during an early morning live interview, that he decided to get a little shut eye right then and there.

Pretty awkward.

Freeman and fellow actor, Michael Caine, were promoting their forthcoming Now You See Me flick Wednesday (May 22), when the 75-year-old fell asleep. Just after responding to a long-winded question from a Seattle news anchor, the Oscar winner looked like a stubborn toddler fighting sleep on a long car ride. His eyes open and close a few times before he completely gives in.

Luckily the interview wasn’t a total wash. Caine didn’t seem to notice and continued talking up the film, and Freeman eventually woke up, only to look like said stubborn toddler getting pulled out of his car seat after the aforementioned car ride. Like anyone who’s ever abruptly fallen asleep only to wake up in a state of utter confusion (we’ve all been there), the Memphis native takes a beat to try and figure out where he is. He then jumps right back into the interview as if nothing happened.

Check out the video below. And yes, it’s hilarious.

UPDATE!!! Morgan Freeman is a secret agent. Here’s what he wrote on Facebook: “Regarding my recent interview, I wasn’t actually sleeping. I’m a beta tester for Google Eyelids and I was merely taking the opportunity to update my Facebook page.
