Not everyone had a laid back Memorial Day Weekend filled with barbecues, alcohol, pool parties, and DUIs… there was also a bunch of struggle involved. Mainly in the case of Tiara Monique Garness who wanted to put her cheeks on display, and ended up arrested instead.
Garness hit South Carolina’s Myrtle Beach early Friday (May 24) wearing a thong bikini. Police allege to have warned her twice to put those cakes back in the oven, but she just wouldn’t listen.
She was arrested at around 5 a.m. that morning, and held on $469 cash bond.
The 22-year-old, of North Carolina, was one of three women busted for similar offenses. None were related, but all had the same “less is more” fashion sense.
Between Friday and Saturday (May 25), cops also busted 27-year-old LaTosha Faye Collins of Dalton, Ga., who was “riding on the back of a purple motorcycle shaking her bare bottom in the air.” Then there was Tenisha Blair, 34, of Shelby, S.C., who was taken into custody for wearing a black dress and nothing underneath. Additionally, 31-year-old Philly resident Latoya Michen was popped at roughly 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning for exposing her bare backside.
Myrtle Beach is a big Memorial Day Weekend destination, and doesn’t mess around when it comes to its indecency rules. The government website clearly states that “thong bikini bathing suits and public display of certain body parts are illegal and can result in arrest.”
