Following a successful first week, The Weeknd continues to push his Kiss Land album with the debut a visual for “Pretty.” As usual, the tale is dark and moody like music it brings to life.
“Somebody telling you it was pointless for me to come back/ Into your arms/ Said you f**ked another man,” sings the Toronto native in the opening line. With the tone set and a vivid picture painted, The Weeknd ups the ante in a treatment that follows he and an attractive woman’s separate activities throughout the course of a night.
The two tales eventually intersect, and the results are jarring.
