Odd Future are set to conclude a stellar year with a new project by MellowHigh, comprised of Domo Genesis, Left Brain, and Hodgy Beats. The young trio return today with a new visual in tow for a smooth track titled “Yu.”
Domo, Left Brain, and Hodgy separately provide three concurrent accounts of the day’s happenings, as the buttery smooth instrumental plays in the background. And while their activities vastly differ — Hodgy doesn’t even play himself — the scene manage to tie into the song’s easy going, druggy feel.
Prior to “Yu,” MellowHigh offered up a much more ominous song in “In The Meantime.” And that by no means is a bad thing.
The crew are actually readying a self-titled album, due to release October 31. Additionally, MellowHigh will embark on a U.S. tour, though only the West Coast dates have been announced. See those on the following page.
