There’s been a lot of hoopla surrounding Chicago newcomer Lil Bibby. As he preps Free Crack mixtape for release, he debuts a new track called “Water” that will certainly gain some attention.

At 18-years-old, the rapper has displays a prowess for accurately portraying street life in a much more lyrical way than some of his Windy City counterparts. And historically speaking, those kind of rhymes typically sound amazing on soulful production. That said, it’s no wonder that Bibby relied on this effective recipe on this track.

“I said ‘I gotta keep my head above water/ Catch me in the kitchen, I be whipping up with the water/ Family over n***as, blood thicker than water/ Real n***a, I’mma get this sh*t regardless,” chants the chorus.

Black Metaphor created the aforementioned beat.

Bibby’s Free Crack drops November 29. See if claims from like Drake who call the young rhymer the future are legitimate below. Share your thoughts in the comments.
