The family of Christian Massey, a 21-year-old special needs adult is in mourning after he was murdered in attempted robbery gone deadly. The items the thieves were after?

Christian Massey would proudly walk around the Marple Newtown High School halls in his black football jersey, his overgrown teddy-bear persona and engaging smile welcoming anyone who greeted him.
It’s why it was so hard to fathom the news that Massey had been gunned down in Overbrook, shot in the chest in the driveway of a home on Lebanon Avenue near 58th Street over a $300 pair of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones Saturday afternoon.
Officers took Massey to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead later that evening, according to police.
No arrests had been made as of last night. (December 3)
His cousin, Rashon Smith was the one who witnessed Massey’s final moments before he passed.
“I came out he was on the ground…I was there for it all,” a clearly emotional Smith told the local news. “I seen the gunshot wounds and the blood.”
Friends and family of Massey gathered around his house and created a vigil to try to piece together the situation. His cousin Pebbles Hill told Fox 29 that Massey “spent most of his time playing basketball with his Special Olympics team.” He was also set to attend college at St. Johns on a full-ride scholarship this upcoming semester.
Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s Beats line have been gearing up for what may be a lucrative holiday season with several different variations of their popular studio headphones.
Still, no material item is worth a human life.
