Two wrongs don’t make a right, but we can agree probably that this dirtbag had it coming. An abusive husband had the tables turned on him when his battered wife put a beating on him in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Derrick Maynard, 32, was arrested for aggravated assault with a weapon and threats to kill. Apparently he and his wife started drinking whiskey in the afternoon, and sh*t got real.
Reports Oklahoma City FOX:
She told officials Maynard threw a Nintendo Wii remote at her. According to the affidavit, she said she put him to bed but he got up a short time later. When he returned, she reported that he again yelled obscenities at her and verbally abused her saying she “needed to go kill herself” and that she “did not deserve to live”.
At that point, the report states that he grabbed an oil heater and threw it at her. Officials report she then said that he picked up a pellet rifle and pointed at her head saying “you deserve to die” and pulled the trigger. The pellet rifle wasn’t loaded, according to the report.
That’s when she told officials that he jumped on top of her and began punching her with his fists. She said she curled up into a ball and starting kicking him, in an attempt to get him off of her.
The report says she believes she connected with his nose and lip and may have bloodied them. She also stated that his black eyes visible in his mug shot were from him beating his head on doors and walls during an earlier intoxicated rampage.
When deputies arrived on the scene, Maynard was so drunk that they couldn’t understand what he was saying and could barely stand.
