Despite earning his O.G. rap stripes several times over, E-40 can still hang with the youngsters of the day, evident from his studious grind when it comes to releasing albums.
2013 has seen the Bay Area legend literally hit paydirt with his new triple album, The Block Brochure: Welcome To the Soil, Pt. 4, 5, & 6. While each disc offers its own unique perspective, the leadoff fourth volume gets right into the groove with the single “Chitty Bang” with a couple of notable rap stars who have an uncanny knack for dropping catchy verses.
A record is only strong as it’s chorus these days and Ty Dolla $ign has already proven his expertise in that category with his songs “Paranoid” and “Irie” being well-received on the radio. The ever-trippy Juicy J also adds his flavor to E-40 slang-laden verses solidfying its single status.
The trio recently brought their female-reeling verses to life in Cali at The Pink Motel. So far the highlight seems to be The Juiceman getting his dessert in the kitchen with the Bangin’ Candy candidate, JackyOh.
