Black Milk cannot and will not be denied. While many fans are still exploring the layers of his No Poison No Paradise LP, the Midwest native is already prepping the release of a new project, from which we receive “Cold Day.”

It’ll only take a spin or two of this record to see that the imagery in Black Milk’s verses is becoming all the more vivid. This time slowed down production with boom-bap drums sets the tone for a good old fashioned story.

“Cold day in the summer/ Right when you think that it’s older, that’s when n***as take you under/ Yea the inner city weather where crooks is always ready, used to walk around with toolies tucked inside they Pelle Pelles,” raps the Detroit native while setting the scene for the tale to come.

“Cold Day” will appear on the producer-rapper’s forthcoming Glitches In The Break EP. Fans can get their hands on that digitally on March 4 and on 12″ vinyl on Record Store Day.

We won’t ruin the story for you, though. Stream Black Milk’s “Cold Day” below, and give us your thoughts in the comments.
