It’s been a while since we’ve heard from North Philadelphia’s own Asaad. But fret not, he created Flowers II in his absence and returns today with “Alejandro Jodorowsky Flow,” featuring Ab-Soul.

First, try saying that five times fast. Secondly understand that the song is titled after the Chilean filmmaker who created 1973 cult classic film Holy Mountain, which inspired the grandiose stage set on Kanye West’s Yeezus tour. That extra context should enable listeners with a much better vantage point while dissecting the record.

Those familiar with the up and comer’s growing discography will notice how emotionally revealing this music is compared to some of his most recent work. Here he explains why he briefly changed his name to Saudi Money and a gang of other things that caused his hiatus. No stranger to heartbreak or anguish, TDE’s resident Black Lipped Pastor blessed the track with a lyrical sermon detailing his own struggles.

Look for Flowers II to release March 27. Stream “Alejandro Jodorowsky Flow” below.
