Moguldom Studios is getting ready to let loose their second documentary Gunland, a film that sheds light on Chicago’s vicious gun violence epidemic, beyond the headlines.

Gunland delves into the lives of Chicago’s black urban youth through raw lens and shows how a community lay waste by gun violence causes its children to grow up afraid to walk their own streets.

Chicago, murder capital of the U.S. in 2013, has become a kind of poster child for gun violence. The city’s Hip-Hop natives (i.e. Lil’ Durk, Young Chop) today dub it Chiraq, due to its violent history and alarming crime rates. Gunland further brings front and center the brutality occurring in the streets of Chicago, but also examines a solution.

Peep the trailer below. Gunland debuts on April 8 and will be available for purchase on iTunes, Google Play, VHX. Visit MoguldomStudios.com to get more info and subscribe to Moguldom’s newsletter and stay abreast of all future films.
