As mainstream Hip-Hop became more monotonous by the day, the amount of artists pushing the boundaries of creativity, whether it be lyrically or sonically, began diminishing. But the tide is turning due to new artists like Houston rapper-producer Travi$ Scott.

With a mad scientist’s precision, the G.O.O.D. Music/Hustle Gang artist whets appetites with a free project aptly titled Days Before Rodeo, in advance of hi major label debut Rodeo. Boasting 12 tracks, including his under appreciated heater, “Don’t Play,” featuring Big Sean and The 1975, the cut dons a diverse palette of sounds and some of Scott’s best bars to date.

Guest appearances include T.I., Young Thug, Migos, Rich Homie Quan, PeeWee Longway, and more. Scott manned the boards, but he also received production and co-production from the likes of Boi-1da, Lex Lugar, Metro Boomin, DJ Dahi, Wondagurl, FKi, Southside, TM88, and J. Hill.

Stream the project below. Additionally, peep the official video for “Don’t Play” below.
