The St. Louis Police Department have been pressuring their St. Louis Rams to apologize for making the Mike Brown tribute “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” before their Sunday faceoff against the Oakland Raiders.
Shortly after their 52-0 blowout win, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar released a statement where the authorities attempted to claim victory for their rallying behind Brown’s shooter, Darren Wilson.

Members of the Department,
I received a very nice call this morning from Mr. Kevin Demoff of the St. Louis Rams who wanted to take the opportunity to apologize to our department on behalf of the Rams for the “Hands Up” gesture that some players took the field with yesterday.
Mr. Demoff clearly regretted that any members of the Ram’s [sic] organization would act in a way that minimized the outstanding work that police officers and departments carry out each and every day. My impression of the call was that it was heartfelt and I assured him that I would share it with my staff.

While fans on the sidelines immediately grew irate that the St. Louis Rams didn’t leave the backpedaling for the field, Demoff, the team’s Vice President of Football Operations assured ESPN’s Nick Wagoner that wasn’t the case.
The STL force refused to go down without firing off one last hail mary and they took to their Twitter with a couple of aggy tweets.
