A memorial fund has been established in the honor of Lionel “Chinx” Pickens, the Coke Boys rapper who was gunned down in Queens over the weekend. So far more than $10,000 has been pledged, with the funds being earmarked to help support his children.

The campaign was established by the Pickens family, Mungin family and Four Kings Management and is the only official fundraiser on the late rapper’s behalf.

Also, Chinx’s wake and funeral have been scheduled for May 26 in Jamaica, Queens.

Arrangements are as follows:

Wake: Tuesday May 26th 2015 11am

The Greater Allen A.M.E Cathedral of New York

110-31 Merrick Blvd, Jamaica N.Y. 11433

Funeral: Tuesday May 26th 2015 12 Noon

The Greater Allen A.M.E Cathedral of New York

110-31 Merrick Blvd, Jamaica N.Y. 11433

As you can imagine, in today’s challenging economic climate, losing your primary source of income can be devastating. When that loss is due to the unexpected death, it leaves a void that can never truly be filled.

Instead of sending flowers, please consider helping the family fill part of the financial void. Your donations will help provide much needed financial stability to a family who deserves so much more than what they have been dealt. We cannot replace the warmth, charisma, wit, charm, and love that Chinx gave to not only his family, and friends, but also, his fans. We can however, help keep them focused on what really matters, and that is each other.

The GoFundMe page can be found right here.

So far there are no suspects in Chinx’s murder, but cops believe it may somehow be connected to the murder of fellow Queens rapper Stack Bundles.
