Mike Dean, the Godfather of Gangsta Rap Engineering, chopped it up with Montreality for a bevy of hot topics including the oft-delayed Kanye West SWISH album and how his G.O.O.D. Music counterpart Travi$ Scott in faring in the studio.

Dean got his start working opposite Scarface and the Geto Boys in the early 1990s and went to produce for other Rap-A-Lot and related artists such as UGK, Tha Dogg Pound, Nate Dogg and the legendary Tupac Shakur (who he dubs as the “Greatest Rapper of All-Time”).
He also been a studio staple on the bulk of Kanye West’s albums including his dual venture with Jay Z in 2011’s Watch the Throne.
