Teaching staff and their risqué extracurricular activities is making more headlines than student progress and is becoming a nationwide issue.

Which brings us to the story of Esther Adler-O’Keefe, the assistant principal of Long Island’s Southampton High School. It seems that her decision to be featured in the raunchy “Best Friend” video starring crooners J.R., Trey Songz and an assorted bevy of Bangin Candy has her in detention with the Board of Administration.

Adler-O’Keefe appears in the beginning and end of the video as the mansion homeowner who lends her keys to J.R., who in turn, seizes the opportunity to throw a wild party where he and Trigga are virtually the only males in sight.

In an email obtained by the NYDailyNews, the administrator claimed ignorance as to how she thought the final edit of the music video would turn out.

“Had I known of such content or lyrics, I certainly would not have participated in any fashion. I find the lyrics and content of the music video vulgar, offensive and demeaning,” she wrote. However, in her second appearance in the “Best Friend” video, she and her on-screen husband return to the mansion to find J.R. passed out with a baker’s dozen of women surrounded him with marijuana paraphernalia and empty liquor bottled littered across the living. Surely she didn’t think they were using the house to play croquet?

Scott Farina, the Southampton school district superintendent, released a statement panning Adler-O’Keefe’s decision to be associated with the R-rated visual.

“In fact, we actively teach our students the importance of good character and making smart choices,” Farina said. The DailyNews says he and the other school district officials are currently deciding her fate.

Despite the condemning from her peers, Adler-O’Keefe has earned several “cool points” with her students who recognized her cameo performances.
