DOOM, better known by the masses as MF DOOM, is still hailed as one of the best pure lyricists ever by most Hip-Hop fans. Although the metal-faced supervillain has been keeping a relatively low profile, DOOM promises a 2016 return to music along with a warning to those who might be doubting him.

In an exclusive video to Hypetrak, MF DOOM opens up the “DOOM – A Villainous Adventure” video with a shot from a remote location in Saint Lucia overlooking the hills. The clip then cuts to the seafaring DOOM boating around the island nation, similarly to how we’ve seen DOOM in recent times after the passing of the great Sean Price.

DOOM’s message was simple: it appears that he realizes his absence from today’s landscape is noticeable, especially given how he dominated the early to mid-2000’s with release after release. DOOM’s last solo studio album release was 2009’s Born Like This. Aside from a variety of recent features and collaborative projects, fans have been starving for more fresh music from the former KMD frontman. The villain promises to “come through and f*ck ya’ll up” in his very words.

More from Hypetrak:

For fans who’ve been wondering where DOOM has been, well, we have some exclusive footage for you from the beloved masked musician himself. In this new three-minute video interview, cameras followed DOOM around a very remote island where he sailed the seas and and filled us in on his whereabouts and of course his music. He didn’t say much about his the fabled DOOMSTARKS album but we’re told the music playing in background is in fact an instrumental for an upcoming single called “Livelyhood” from the long awaited DOOMSTARKS album.

Check out MF DOOM aka DOOM in the video clip below announcing his return to the music.
