Next to Eminem, Robin Thicke is the game’s coolest white dude (Editor’s Note: losing Paula Patton was an “L”) and today he keeps his Hip-Hop ties going strong with his latest Nasassisted single, “Deep.”

But before Robin can get into the melodic swing of things, Nas kicks the track off with one of his most powerful verses in recent memory in which he touches on the Black lives that police have taken without the slightest of repercussions.

Going acapella, Nas spits:

“Man it hurts to see a cop kill a Black man alert/

Newsflash police shoot Blacks, distort facts, quick attack/

Unarmed men murdered them. It’s captured on cell phone video and they stilled let ‘em go/

When will they stop killin’ ‘em? I’m askin’ why is they killin’ for?

A white man with a gun apprehended, he still alive/

Black man with a gun he gets no chance to survive/

They gon’ shoot him dead soon as they see the brown in his eyes/

And they askin’ “Why you ain’t smiling Nas?”

Cause I have a son and I die inside when I gotta tell him what I told to me/

You can’t play with your water gun, son because police see a 7-year-old as a threat/

They think it’s right to kill a 7-year-old on sight, cause he ain’t white…”

Talk about a Hip-Hop quotable.

Check out the cut in it’s entirety below and let us know if you think Nas did his verses justice and if Paula Patton should give Robin Thicke one more chance like his name was Christopher Wallace.
