In the latest episode of “Lil Yachty vs. What You Think,” the Atlanta rapper apologizes for calling The Notorious B.I.G. overrated.

In an interview with one of his biggest critics, Ebro Darden, Yachty took back what he said about Biggie earlier this month. Since his remarks, more people jumped on the Yachty hate bandwagon, making him the poster boy for “what’s wrong with Hip-Hop.”

The onslaught of hate encouraged Yachty to go back and listen to Biggie’s music and he wound up enjoying it. Now that he is properly educated, he has had a change of heart.

Yachty says:

“The only thing I kind of hate is that I kind of spoke so quick on him, saying I don’t know this I don’t know that before I gave him a chance and listened to him…. Before I said that I was in the blind. I feel like I owe an apology. I didn’t think before I spoke on that topic. I know now how important and just how serious it is to some people. I didn’t want people thinking that I was disrespecting him because it wasn’t a disrespect thing. That’s just my personal opinion. My dad did not play Biggie or Tupac so I had never heard it. And I just now, to this day, I feel like I was wrong for speaking about something like that without taking a second to listen.”

What’s a more interesting part of the interview where he genuinely asks how he is “destroying Hip-Hop?” He challenges people like Lord Jamar saying that he is messing up the game, when he is out here promoting positivity and being anti-drugs and anti-alcohol.

Check it out below. Also, check out our interview with Yachty’s father, Shannon McCollum, where we ask him why Yachty didn’t know any 2Pac or Biggie songs.
