A new D’Angelo album is on the horizon, according to ?uestlove. When asked by Hot 97’s J. Medina the drummer of the Legendary Roots Crew let the cat out of the bag.
Just after getting of the stage at the Billboard relaunch event late last week, he spoke on his nearly five-year gig on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, before giving details on the Virginia crooner. “I feel like the little boy that cried ‘D’angelo,” he said. “No one believes that this record is almost finished, but I swear to you, it’s almost done. He’s super neurotic wit’ it, but it’s gonna’ get done. I promise you. It’ll definitely be out in 2013.”
D’Angelo hasn’t dropped any details on his forthcoming record.
The 36-year-old has been confirmed for another stage run, this time at the 2013 Soul Beach Music Festival in Aruba, over Memorial Day Weekend.
