Last Friday, May 4, Lil Wayne had a party in Miami to celebrate the launch of SPECTRE, his footwear company in collaboration with SUPRA. The first product of their union is Weezy’s “Chimera” signature sneaker.
“Everybody knows SUPRA for being that skate shoe,” said Lil Wayne in a press statement. “But right now we want people that don’t skate to wanna wear SPECTRE too. And this first shoe, the Chimera, hits that. It’s gonna be crazy.”
Sneaker Freeker has intel on Tunechi’s new shoe:
It’s Weezy F baby and the F is for FINALLY – Lil Wayne’s show-stopping signature ‘Spectre’ line for Supra has been revealed at last. Tunechi showed off the new shoes at the launch party in Miami over the weekend, and they’re quite the eye-grabbers. Christened the ‘Chimera’, these behemoths aptly pull in parts from a few different beasts, with a massive Falcon-esque heel panel, a thugged-out beefy tongue and a sky-high grabbing midsole. This three-pack of colourways is expected to hit Supra retailers on May 17.
Expect the “No Worries” rapper to be on his best behavior considering that Mountain Dew severed what was surely a profitable relationship with the rapper over his controversial Emmett Till lyrics on Future’s “Karate Chop (Remix).”
