Wale is one day closer to releasing his third studio album The Gifted, due out June 25. Before then we get an early look at the album’s artwork, which the MMG rapper delivers today as promised.

Renowned tattoo artist Mr. Cartoon created the cover, featuring a clay bust of Wale surrounded by illustrations of money, jewelry, fast cars, women, and his native Washington D.C.. The final product is a bit busy, but it speaks highly to original title of the project, Curse of The Gifted. In a sit down with Shaheem Reid, Wale said “the underlined theme of The Gifted is that there’s are things that come with it.”

“I’m just here to inspire.. I know it’s taboo to be passionate in rap these days .. Sue me . I’mma do me,” tweeted Wale after posting the photo. And the DMV rapper is only getting started, as he also promised a follow-up single to “Bad” titled “Love Hate Thing” on Monday, May 20. Could that be the his collaboration with Rihanna?

See the art for The Gifted below, and let us know your opinions in the comments.
