Fresh of rocking the Hot 97 Summer Jam XX stage with his Wu-Tang Clan brethren this past weekend, Raekwon drops a new single called “Sound Boy Kill It,” featuring Melanie Fiona.
The Chef lays into a drum packed track hooked up by Jerry Wonda that sounds like a flip the old ESG “UFO” break on steroids. As for Melanie Fiona, she shows plenty of attitude when kicking her vocals for the hook.
“Roadblock villa, catch me blowing L’s in a Soho hotel getting swell my ni–a/Patience is a virtue I excel , my ni–a, and that’s why I’m eating pretty well my ni–a,” spits Shallah Raekwon.
The Wu-Tang Clan rapper’s new solo album, F.I.L.A., is due out later this year. Also, to celebrate the group’s 20th anniversary, a new album called A Better Tomorrow is in the cards, too. Listen to “Sound Boy Kill It” below.
