As previously reported, 28-year-old Demetrius Stewart a.k.a. Shawty Redd has been charged with murder in the death of a Detroit man.

After being held in a Henry County jail without bond Stewart made a scheduled court appearance Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.

According to the HipHopEnquirer, bond was set for the producer at $200,000 in court today.

This trying time for the man responsible for Snoop Dogg’s “Sensual Seduction” and Young Jeezy’s “Who Dat” began on New Years Day when he allegedly shot and killed 35-year-old Damon Martin.

Shawty Redd maintains that he was only acting in self defense.
