2013 has been jam packed with noteworthy releases, and today, you can officially add a new album by Slaughterhouse into the mix. Though we’ve known the quartet have been working on their third studio album for some time, Shady Records released a statement moments ago with details about the LP.

The announcement revealed that the Core Four will be spending the month of June at a secret location in New York City cooking up heaters with producers the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, aarabMuzik, and Just Blaze. As if that wasn’t promising enough, the legendary Roc-A-Fella affiliate will serve as executive producer on the project.

Yes, our minds are completely blown too. In any case, this explains a bevy of recent photos of Just Blaze in the studio with Slaughterhouse.

Shady Records says “this isn’t a send-tracks-around, and everyone-records-in-their-own-studio type of album.”

According to group member Royce Da 5’9″, “everyone is in the perfect space, mentally. It feels great to be back in the studio with the guys and I think that I can speak for everyone when I say that we just wanna make an album that will stand the test of time and mean [sic] sum’n to Hip-Hop.”

We don’t know about you, but Slaughterhouse’s forthcoming album just climbed our list of most anticipated bodies of work.
