Hip-Hop has seen an increase in success stories these past few years — one undoubtedly being Macklemore.

Riding the success of The Heist and its multi-platinum singles, “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us,” The Seattle native recently stopped by Real Late with Peter Rosenberg to chop it up with the Hot 97 personality and bless listeners with a fresh freestyle.

Rosenberg spun classic Wu-Tang Clan track “Triumph” for the inspirational rhymer to kick a few bars over. You may not find the Inspectah Deck verse you’re accustomed to hearing here, but we’d say Macklemore did justice to RZA’s knocking beat.

Fans can catch the crossover sensation and his cohort Ryan Lewis rocking stages all summer at events like the Made In America festival.
