You’ve undoubtedly heard the word “Versace” uttered more in the last few weeks than you have in recent memory. Credit that to Atlanta’s own Migos, who had the opportunity to sit down with The Breakfast Club this morning to discuss their bubbling movement, meeting Drake, and more.

Quavo and Takeoff — the third member, Offset, is incarcerated — said they were “just trying to be the best.” They have a long way to go to attain that feat, but the pair have garnered a quick following.

Drake’s co-signing appearance on their aforementioned hit only boosted their stock. “We met him [Drake] at Birthday Bash,” said Migos on meeting the Toronto superstar. “He said he was riding to the tape on the way there. I told him we had to work, and he was like ‘If we do something, we got to do something off the tape.'”

That’s how the “Versace” remix was born.

Migos said they plan on building their brand independently — with a little help from renowned manager Coach K — and believe they will be relevant as long as they establish their identity and continue flooding the clubs.
