Baz Luhrmann’s film adaptation of The Great Gatsby may be old news, but the music from the accompanying soundtrack has yet to run its course. Today, we receive a treatment for a standout song called “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got),” featuring Fergie, GoonRock and Q-Tip.
Believing is seeing in the crisp visual. Knowing the track’s title is as fictional as the novel, we see the trio of artists and a host of others leave it all on the floor at perhaps the most extravagant party of recent memory with no consequences.
Thematically, this is set in the same time period as F. Scott Fitzgerald’s literary classic. Not sure if Nick Carraway and Tom Buchanan ever jammed like this, though.
Fergie pretty much dominates the screen time here, while GoonRock and Q-Tip have more of a supporting role. Check out the video for “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)” below.
