Here’s a pleasant surprise. Fans receive a new song from Miguel called “Can’t Sleep Together,” the latest release from the 2013 Adult Swim Singles Program.

Listeners are immediately greeted by synths similar to those on tracks on Miguel’s 2012 album, Kaleidoscope Dream. The captivating production matches well with the crooner’s soulful vocals, but the song overall doesn’t measure up to other notable records like “Adorn” and “Where’s the Fun in Forever.”

So far, Miguel’s cut is the third Hip-Hop or R&B tune added to Adult Swim’s Singles Program. Previously revealed additions include a song by Flying Lotus’ alter ego Captain Murphy titled “Between Villains,” featuring Earl Sweatshirt, MF DOOM, and Thudercat. Another coined “City” came courtesy of MadGibbs (Madlib and Freddie Gibbs) and Karriem Riggins.
