Producer, rapper, and musician Flying Lotus returns under his alter ego Captain Murphy on a new track called “Between Villains,” featuring Earl Sweatshirt, Viktor Vaughn (aka MF DOOM), and Thundercat.
This is the inadvertent sequel to last year’s “Between Friends” by Murphy and the Odd Future MC. Like the aforementioned song, this will release as part of Adult Swim’s summer Singles Series.
The beat is dark and sinister, and the rhyming quartet’s bars follow suit. But that was promised with this line up of revered lyricists.
Find more potent bars from Sweatshirt on his formal debut Doris, which releases August 20 and is streaming for free right now. The “Between Villains” download link will be available on Adult Swim’s site Monday (August 19).
