The LOX return as a unit with a few freestyle on Drake’s Nothing Was The Same closer “Pound Cake” in tow. Of course, Styles P, Jadakiss, and Sheek Louch had to put their spin on the tune, which is newly titled “Hood Cake.”
There isn’t a damn thing jiggy, glossy or the like about this one; the Yonkers trio had nothing to give but gritty bars over the hazy instrumental. “I done made a milli, P and ‘Kiss made a milli/Hood could of if he wasn’t acting silly,” spit Sheek in reference to former D-Block affiliate Jae Hood.
Add “Hood Cake” to your playlist featuring L-O-X’s previously released track, “Summer’s Too Hot.” Here’s to hoping that The LOX will release a new album sooner than later.
Until more info on that is available, you’ll have to settle for “Hood Cake” below.
