Danny Brown has carved out a nice little career for himself over the years, but many have criticized how he’s changed since The Hybrid. Fret not angry fans; the Detroit rapper takes it back on his new LP Old, which is currently being streamed via Spotify.
Two years following Brown’s breakout release, XXX, he provides another quality listening experience via 19 new tracks. This project represents who the energetic lyricist was and who he’s become over the years. The first half employs a boom bap sound, while the second sounds more like the spastic, synth-heavy, druggy cuts we’ve heard recently.
Previously previewed songs like “Dip,” “Kush Coma,” and “Old (Side A)” can all be found here. Guest appearances include ScHoolboy Q, Freddie Gibbs, A$AP Rocky, Ab-Soul and more.
