Thus far, ambiguity has worked in PARTYNEXTDOOR‘s favor. We still know very little about him, but the OVO signee continues where his underrated self-titled debut left off with a pair of new releases, called “Muse” and “Candy,” featuring Nipsey Hussle.

Party stays in his sonic comfort zone, which is eerily ambient at times, often very sexually charged, and full of smooth melodies.

The Toronto crooner experiments with his vocals on “Candy,” a track that dons boasts of success and when it all boils down, hints of “I can take your girl” rap. “Muse” (our favorite of the pair) sounds like it could have easily been on his aforementioned project. Smooth chords prove to be heartwarming, as Party weaves lyrics through the song’s pulsating percussion.

Hear both “Candy” and “Muse” below. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. Think PARTYNEXTDOOR is the real deal?
