You never know what you’re going to get out of a Tyler, the Creator interview. The Odd Future frontman was a guest on The Arsenio Hall Show and was his usual candid and sarcastic self, which included an explanation of his usage of the f-word (three letter version) and the n-word, among other topics.

Hall asked Tyler about his use of the aforementioned f-word, despite his friendship with Frank Ocean. After kicking the usual spiel about not giving the word power and not being offended by being called something he is not, he also discussed his use of the n-word.

“Anybody can be that. I called the white guy in the back a n-word earlier. He got nervous,” said Tyler while laid out on Hall’s couch. “Calling white people the N-word they get nervous. Oh my gosh it is amazing.”

Hall then asked Tyler about politics and his opinion on Barack Obama. “I don’t get into it because I really like do funny stuff,” said the “Yonkers” rapper. “I realized he’s an n-word that figured it out.”

Nervous applause and Hall saying that’s a “brilliant” way to look at it followed. Oh word?

Tyler, the Creator and Odd Future’s second annual Camp Flog Now carnival goes down Saturday, November 9 at The Park @ LA Coliseum.
