Homecomings are supposed to be a thing of joy but in Drake’s case, his return to his paternal residence is something he’s been putting off for some time now.

In a move that doubled as atonement for his absence and further promotion of his album, he recently shot the video for “Worst Behavior” right in the heart of Memphis, TN. An integral piece of his childhood.

““It’s always going to be tough—it was tough during the video. You want to see everybody do well… Instead of running from it, I just embraced it and shot this incredible, beautiful video,” the Canadian rapper told VIBE.com in an interview during a stop on his Would You Like A Tour? campaign.

The Nothing Was the Same author screams out Toronto every chance that he gets but it’s his father who hails from Tennessee’s largest city. Their relationship has been a rocky on occasion–something that Drake never shied away from addressing in his music. On “From Time,” a reflective track on NWTS, Drizzy states the facts, “I’ve been dealing with my dad, speakin’ of lack of patience/Just me and my old man gettin’ back to basics/We’ve been talkin’ ’bout the future and time that we wasted…”

A family reunion was highlighted on the aforementioned “Worst Behavior” video, where Dennis Graham kicks off the beginning of the video, lip-synching his son’s first verse. It’s not certain if this was the collaboration his father spoke of last week but the Internet sure did have a field day over it regardless.

“Worst Behavior” marked the third video released from NWTS, not too long after it went platinum. Read the interview in full over at VIBE.
