Raekwon has always possessed the distinct talent of talking that talk (if you don’t understand the concept, you’ve already lost). Such is displayed on the legends latest release, “Soundboy Kill It,” a boom-bap, reggae influenced cut featuring Melanie Fiona and Assassin.

This song continues The Chef’s barrage of new music, as fans anxiously await Fly International Luxurious Art (F.I.L.A.). As always, Raekwon’s rhymes are slick and street savvy, but it’s Fiona’s buttery smooth vocals that make this tune sound truly distinct. Well, that and a contribution from the dancehall veteran. That recipe adds a different kind of energy to this heater.

Of course, Rae talks his ish to close of the record. But, you know, it wouldn’t be right any other way. Besides, that’s an ability you have when your upcoming album is titled Fly International Luxurious Art. Fans can expect the LP to release some time in 2014.

“Soundboy Kill It” will be available via iTunes December 10. Until then, hear it guilt free below.
