These days, it seems like nothing sets the Internets ablaze like a good old fashioned rant. Wale, who created a stir when he spazzed on a Complex Magazine writer, sat with Hot 97 to explain his rambunctious reaction, why he thinks the publication has a personal gripe with him, and more.
On-air personality Peter Rosenberg and Programming Director Ebro Darden moderated the discussion. Noticeably calmer, Wale said, “I think it is personal.” He continued, “There’s a lineage of things that I’ve seen in the last couple of years. There have been red flags.”
Admittedly, the rapper says he may have done some things he regretted at the beginning of his career. However, he believes that the quality of music he creates should supersede any issues Complex or any other publication has with him.
