There’s been an interesting development surrounding Rick Ross and Jay Z’s “Devil Is A Lie.” Producer KE On The Track, credited for the song’s production, released a video showing how he created the cut, but Major Seven, another beat craftsman, claims it was stolen from him.

Seven made his point loud and clear after tweeting a link to KE’s behind the scenes video. Clearly shocked and appalled, he tweeted KE saying, “u know what, i would never do the evil that you did to me, to anyone, not even you, not even now, imma pray for U man, 4real.” That message had since been removed.

Somewhere in the conversation, a Portland rapper named Manny Monday entered the fold, revealing that he also had the “Devil Is A Lie” beat months ago and even recorded a song to it.

It’s unclear how the track, if stolen, even landed in KE On The Track’s hands. From Seven’s tweets, it seems like the two once had a working relationship, though. Watch the video that started it all below. See some of the aforementioned tweets on the following pages. We’ll have more info as it becomes available.
