Yo Gotti paints an interesting picture of his upbringing in Memphis in the visual for his I Am track, “Cold Blood.” Here, he teams up with J. Cole, who assists with a verse full of similar Fayetteville tales.

Gotti makes it a priority to keep his music authentic to the streets. That’s why lines like, “He sold crack to his mother/ Turned his back on his brothers/ Killed his partner for the plug/ He think everything a hustle/ C-Cold muhf**ka, holmes numb/ Black heart, no feelings, just a gun,” connect so well.

Serene scenes in the treatment match the record’s soulful sound, as does the aesthetic Memphis locals who make appearances. “Cold Blood” can be found on Yo Gotti’s I Am album, which can be found here.
