The trial for the Spelman college student killed on the campus of Clark Atlanta University has begun.
As previously reported 20-year-old Jasmine Lynn was killed September 3 walking on the University’s campus.
According to police two men were fighting when shots rang out leaving Lynn struck fatally in the chest.
Devonni Manuel Benton was arrested for the crime and appeared in a Fulton County courtroom Tuesday after being granted a request for an expedited trial.
Defense attorneys for Benton claim that he is being falsely accused and his associate, Clarence Carter, is responsible for murder.
