In between his feat to release 28 mixtapes in 28 days, Gorilla Zoe is seeing his name brought up in a money scandal.

Gorilla Zoe, real name Alonzo Mathis, is associated with a case in Georgia now that a promoter for one of his concerts is facing a theft by deception charge.

The owner of a restaurant in Cartersville, Georgia claims that he was robbed of his money after paying a concert promoter for a Gorilla Zoe show that never happened.

According to the complaint, the owner of Café Di Sol paid the promoter a deposit of $1,250 for the rapper to perform at the establishment.

He then says he paid the man the remaining $1,250 the day of the scheduled performance after he told him that Zoe was on the way to the venue.

He then says the man left with the money and Gorilla Zoe was ultimately a no-show.

No word on why Zoe allegedly skipped out on his performance.

He’s currently on day 16 of his promise to drop 28 mixtapes in 28 days; his latest release, Walkin Money dropped today.

Has anyone heard any of his new mixtapes???

Thoughts?
