Eerie vibes echo as Diddy talks that talk in the opening moments of Rick Ross’ “Nobody,” the Miami rapper’s take on The Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death closer “You’re Nobody (Til Somebody Kills You).”

This song is a very bold move by The Bawse, because he mimics the late Frank White’s flow and cadence to properly convey how it felt to be targeted in a near fatal drive-by January 2013. French Montana provides a chorus that chants, “Momma tryna save me, but she don’t know I’m tryna save her/ Man, them n***as tried to play me man, until I got this paper.” The Bronx rapper recited Biggie’s classic sing-songy chants of, “You’re nobody til somebody kills you,” to the end for good measure.

There should be a lot of commotion around this record, but whether that’s good or bad remains to be seen.

Tune into Rick Ross’ “Nobody” below. Give us your thoughts in the comments.
