British pop star Lily Allen has had her fair share of encounters with Hip-Hop music and she’s paying ultimate tribute to one of the culture’s biggest and notorious figures with her third studio album.

During a recent appearance on BBC One’s The Graham Norton Show the 28-year-old singer announced that her new album would in fact be called Sheezus, in an obvious nod to Kanye West’s last polarizing LP, Yeezus.

The aforementioned Yeezus was a dark horse in 2013 Hip-Hop with most of its sounds and production techniques seemingly suited for an alternative act such as Allen. The name alone inspired a cult religion and created an assortment of strange videos. Allen also appeared on a Kanye beat for his then, labelmate Common on 2007’s “Drivin’ Me Wild.”

Allen has already released an assortment of singles in support of the project including the single “Hard Out Here,” which likens itself to Three 6 Mafia’s Academy Award-winning song “It’s Hard out Here for a Pimp.”

Check out the videos of “Hard Out Here,” “Somewhere Only We Know” and “Air Balloon” on the next pages to see if the records indeed have a Yeezus feel.
