Like any industry, Hip-Hop has some questionable practices behind the scenes. Then again, Industry rule #4080 has been an adage in the culture for over 20 years, and Trinidad Jame$ agrees on “Rap Game Just Too Funny.”

Some folks are scratching their heads in bewilderment. Why the Atlanta native would pen such a song? But when you think about it, Jame$ has experienced the highs and lows of the game in a very short period of time.

“I said my n***a why you rapping/ Is you tryna make a change or you just want a chain, I’m just asking,” he raps. Jame$’ gripes with the status quo in Hip-Hop is deeper than questioning his peers, as the southern rapper also details how success makes those around you change, fake friends, and how labels try to force artists to create a certain kind of content.

Again, revert back to industry rule #4080.
