Each region has its time to shine, and right now, the spotlight is on the West Coast. Following widely heralded projects from YG, Vince Staples, and ScHoolboy Q, newcomer A$ton Matthews enters his name into the fold with the A$ton 3:16 mixtape.

Inspired by professional wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin, Matthews spares listeners from incessant catch phrases and beer guzzling. Rather, this body of work details a different side of life in Lakewood, Calif. The story is a lot grittier this time, as the MC speaks on gang activity and the like in great detail over production not often attributed to the West.

Matthews receives guest appearances from Action BronsonA$AP Ferg, Ab-Soul, Flatbush Zombies, Vince Staples, Bodega Bamz, Joey Fatts, and more. And that’s without mentioning production from the likes of The Alchemist, DJ Khalil, and more.
