Add this to the list of drug dealers who are actually idiots. A Bronx man, Carlos Taverez, tried to retrieve the heroin he forgot in a rental car by calling the lost & found to retrieve his “children’s medicine.” It didn’t end so well for him.

Reports the New York Post:

A dim-witted drug dealer tipped cops off to his scheme after he reported his missing heroin to the lost-and-found at a rental car company — claiming he’d left a bag of “medicine” in the ride, police sources said.

Dope-hauling doofus Carlos Taverez, 30, of the Bronx left 250 packets of heroin in a Chevrolet Cruze he returned to a Budget Rental Car Agency at Newark Liberty International Airport on April 1, Port Authority spokesman Joseph Pentangelo said.

Nervous his massive stash would get tossed, he called the car rental firm to report he’d left “children’s medicine” in the car, Pentangelo said.

Instead of medicine, working found $2,500 worth of heroin in packets labelled “Fat Boy.” When Taverez rolled up the next day (Wednesday, April 2) to pick up the bag of work, cops dressed as rental car agents arrested him.

Taverez was charged with heroin possession with intent to sell. Check out photos of Tavares and his drugs in the following pages.
