Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former president George W. Bush now share a common bond that is rooted deeper than just politics.
Both have survived attempted assaults on their domes by flying shoes.
Clinton was in Las Vegas as the guest speaker for the “Institute Of Scrap Recycling Industries” Convention at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino yesterday, April 10 when she spotted the jig and dodged a six-inch heel in slow motion like Trinity in The Matrix. Admittedly, it was a bit of bad aim but we’ll let the potential next U.S. president remain the heroine here.
“What is that, a bat?,” she asked the crowd. “Is someone throwing something at me? Is that part of Cirque Du Soleil?,” she joked, making light of the situation.
According to ABC, U.S. Secret Service supervisory special agent Brian Spellacy said the woman was detained, questioned and will face unknown federal charges. A copy of a 1967 Department of Defense document and a black and orange shoe were also recovered from the scene.
“My goodness, I didn’t know solid waste management was so controversial,” the unintimidated politician continued. Neither did we, Mrs. Clinton.
