The trial for reggae star Buju Banton has been postponed nearly four months after he was arrested and charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute.

As previously reported, Banton was arrested December 10 after police say they caught him trying to buy more than five kilograms of cocaine from an undercover officer.

Banton, real name Mark Anthony Myrie, vehemently denies the charge and has since turned down plea deals claiming that he was set up.

Banton was set to go to trial on April 21 but U.S. District Judge James Moody has pushed it back to June 21.

Judge Moody gave no reason for the push back.

Buju previously asked to be moved to a different prison because the facility was not meeting his vegetarian diet needs and he was losing weight.

His complaint was denied and thrown out.
